Attention all young explorers and adventure seekers in grades K through 5! We have some exciting news to share that will have you on the edge of your seats. This year, we're embarking on an unforgettable journey of discovery that will ignite your imagination, spark your curiosity, and immerse you in the incredible stories of the Bible!
Say goodbye to the ordinary and hello to the extraordinary, as we proudly unveil our brand-new program: Warriors of the Word (WOW). This captivating adventure is designed to bring the pages of the Bible to life like never before while empowering you to become champions of biblical knowledge and understanding. Get ready for a whirlwind of fun, friendship, and faith as we dive into this thrilling program!
🌟 What is WOW all about? WOW is your ticket to a world of wonder and exploration, right here at Cornerstone Baptist Church. This program is tailor-made to help you journey through the Bible, learn its stories, and understand its timeless lessons. Through interactive lessons, creative activities, and exciting competitions, you'll become a true "Warrior of the Word," equipped with the wisdom and confidence to navigate the scriptures.
🌟 Why WOW instead of AWANA? This year, we're taking a bold step forward by introducing WOW in place of our traditional AWANA program. WOW offers an immersive and engaging experience that will captivate your hearts and minds, allowing you to dive deeper into the Bible in a whole new way. Best of all, participation in WOW is absolutely FREE! That's right, there's no cost to join the adventure – it's open to all students in grades K through 5.
🌟 When and Where? Join us every Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cornerstone Baptist Church. Our adventure kicks off on September 6th, 2023 with a block party at the church, so mark your calendars and get ready to be amazed!
Are you excited? We sure are! WOW promises an unforgettable experience that will leave you inspired and eager for more. Bring your friends, your enthusiasm, and your sense of wonder as we set out on this incredible journey together.

What Happens Each WOW Night:
6:00 PM - 6:10 PM: Gather in the Gym
  • Welcome and introduction to the evening's activities.
  • Set the tone for a fun and engaging time of learning and exploration.
6:15 PM - 6:30 PM: Rotation 1
  • Bible Story Time (Wolf & Eagle Tribes, K-2nd Grade)
  • Activity Time (Bear & Lion Tribes, 3rd-5th Grade)
  • Engaging lessons and discussions for K-2nd Grade and interactive activities for 3rd-5th Grade.
6:30 PM - 6:45 PM: Rotation 2
  • Bible Story Time (Bear & Lion Tribes, 3rd-5th Grade)
  • Activity Time (Wolf & Eagle Tribes, K-2nd Grade)
  • Swap between age groups for the Bible story and activity sessions.
6:45 PM - 6:55 PM: Closing Ceremonies in the Gym
  • Recap the evening's highlights and celebrate individual and group achievements.
  • Announce winners of competitions and provide encouragement.
7:00 PM: Dismissal
  • A time to say goodbye until the next WOW adventure!
At Warriors of the Word (WOW), we believe that the journey of faith is even more exciting when shared with friends and fellow adventurers. That's why we've created tribes – unique groups that add a sense of camaraderie, competition, and collaboration to our program.
What Are Tribes?
Tribes are spirited groups that bring children together within our WOW community. Each tribe consists of a mix of children from different age groups, creating an environment where older kids can mentor younger ones, and where friendships flourish across grades.
Why Join a Tribe?
  • Friendship: Tribes offer a chance to make new friends, build connections, and create lasting memories with peers who share your love for exploring the Bible.
  • Team Spirit: Working together in tribes fosters a sense of unity and teamwork. Tribes support each other, celebrate wins, and encourage one another to reach new heights.
  • Healthy Competition: Tribes engage in friendly competitions throughout the program, earning points by bringing Bibles, inviting friends, and participating in nightly challenges. The tribe with the most points wins exciting prizes!
  • Guided Learning: Tribe leaders are there to guide you through rotations, ensuring you have a fantastic time while learning about the Bible.
How Are Tribes Divided?
Our tribes are named after powerful and symbolic animals:
  • Wolf Tribe: For Kindergarten to 2nd Graders
  • Eagle Tribe: For Kindergarten to 2nd Graders
  • Bear Tribe: For 3rd to 5th Graders
  • Lion Tribe: For 3rd to 5th Graders
Each tribe has its own identity, traditions, and opportunities for fun and learning.
